Thomas J. Carey (“TC”) has been a California real estate broker for 30 plus years. As a broker he has concentrated his interests in the selling and buying and exchanging of vacant lands and the procurement of investment properties (Office and retail) throughout the State of California. Tom has built approximately 55 homes in San Mateo County and just recently completed a mixed use project in the city of San Carlos, California. Tom leases his own commercial and residential holdings and for other clients as well. He has appeared in front of many different governmental bodies including, but not limited to; the California Coastal Commission, Board of Supervisors and Planning Commissions of multiple Counties as well as different planning and city council boards to enable projects to be approved for development.

Education
Tom graduated from Bellarmine College Preparatory where he played varsity basketball and water polo. He then went on to graduate from Santa Clara University with a B.S. in Political Science, where he also played water polo all four years. Finally, Tom earned his Secondary Teaching Credential from San Jose State University.
Personal Information
He is the son of Helen J. Carey, and the Honorable Judge Robert E. Carey; and father of two adoring daughters—Michelle, and Elizabeth. Tom’s brother is Robert E. Carey, Jr. who is an attorney at Carey & Carey Law Firm in Palo Alto. His sister, Ann Carey, is an active investor in the Bay Area. Tom’s Grandfather, Thomas J. Callan, was a member of the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors, a San Francisco Giants fan, and mentor to Tom. In his free time, Tom’s personal interests include attending Bay Area sporting events, playing tennis, golf, and swimming.
